  1. Plug your NESDR into an available USB port

  2. Open the 'NESDR Driver Installer', Zadig

  3. Select 'List All Devices' from the 'Options' menu in Zadig

  4. From the main dropdown, select the NESDR.
    The name of the device can vary depending on your operating system environment. To ensure you have the correct device, confirm the selected device has a USB ID of '0BDA 2838' or '0BDA 2832'.
    IMPORTANT: If device ID doesn't match, do NOT proceed. Either revert to step 4, or contact support for assistance.

  5. Press the big button to install drivers--button will either say 'Install Driver' or 'Replace Driver', depending on your Windows environment and settings. Either is fine. Press the button to install!

  1. Plug your NESDR into an available USB port. If you don't have a standard USB port, you may still be able to connect your NESDR with USB On-The-Go (OTG) using an appropriate cable. A USB OTG bundle can be purchased here.
  2. Install the driver with the software link above.

Linux Installation Procedure:

NESDR is fully compatible with all known Linux distros. However, due to the wide variety of distros available, installation procedures can vary. A setup guide for a common distro, Ubuntu, can be found above. In most cases, you will be able to follow the same general procedures for installation on other distros. If you run into any issues, please do not hesitate to contact our support team for assistance!

To create bootable USB or SD Card installation media for any LibreELEC supported platform please download the “LibreELEC USB-SD Creator” app and run it with administrator rights:

Latest Release and Manual Update for LibreELEC (.img.gz)

To update an existing LibreELEC device transfer the manual update file over to /storage/.update/ or the “Updates” samba share before rebooting to start the update process. The same .img file is used for v2 and v3 devices. It can also be used to create SD cards using other SD card writing apps:

Manual Update / Migration from OpenELEC (.tar)

LibreELEC update files are compatible with OpenELEC. To migrate transfer the manual update file over to /storage/.update/ or the “Updates” samba share before rebooting to start the update process. The same file is used for v2 and v3 devices:

Raspberry Pi “noobs” Software (.tar)

To dual-boot LibreELEC with Raspian or other Raspberry Pi distributions on the same SD card use “noobs” software from the Raspberry Pi Foundation. To add LibreELEC to an existing noobs SD card download this file and unpack it to the /os folder on the SD card:
